Stripped down and ready to rumble, think of the FZ1 as an upright R1 you can live with. There's more fuel-injected power in that smooth 20-valve four-cylinder than most riders will ever use in a sure-footed, race bred chassis. It's a rider's best ally, from track days, to commuting, to touring. All-out performance, all-round versatility and superb man-machine interaction is at the core of the R1-inspired supersport performance. Accelerating out of turns you feel it, because the R1-based engine is re-tuned for massive midrange. In fact you’re enjoying yourself so much that the brief ride you had planned turns into something a bit longer. No worries, the upper fairing keeps you comfy all day and there’s plenty of room for luggage when you decide this ride’s going to last all weekend.
My bike is a one (adult)-owner, low mileage, un-messed with pristine example that has never had a hard part touch terra firma nor spent a night outside. Aside from the Fender Eliminator and teenie LED turn signal swap, the bike is bone stock, so you know what you are getting!
